Individual results can vary depending on severity of skin condition and consistency of use. Typically, when product directions are followed closely, improvement in oiliness, discoloration, and dullness can be noted within 4 weeks of consistent use. With longer term use, our products will help clear oily problematic skin, minimizing breakouts, and dramatically reducing dark spots and discoloration.
Lasts approximately 8-12 weeks when used on the face and neck as directed. However, the products work great for the chest and back as well. If you choose to also use on your chest and back, then the products may need to be replenished after 4-6 weeks.
Purging is the period of time where your skin transitions by releasing bacteria, hardened oils, etc. to become clearer. Though normal, not everyone will experience purging, but it often occurs when trying new and effective products. Adjusting your regimen may help control the severity of purging. However, like with all new products, it is advised to gradually ease into usage.
Our Brightening Cleanser Gel and Clear Face Serum contain mandelic acid an AHA with gentle exfoliating properties that improves dark spots and breakouts, while also reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Use products as recommended or adjust your regimen to use less where needed. If skin becomes too dry, adjust your regimen to use serum once daily, or every other day. You can also try washing with the cleansing once per day. If washing twice per day, then avoid leaving the cleanser on the skin for long periods of time, wash for 30 seconds or less in these instances. Using the cleanser more than twice per day, or leaving it on the skin for too long, can cause dry skin due to the combination of cleansing and exfoliating.

Gem Hue Beauty products can be used together as a system, or independently with other products. However, other products may reduce the effectiveness of our products and your desired results if they do not share the same qualities – free of parabens, pore-clogging ingredients, harsh detergents, drying alcohols, and harmful toxic chemicals.
It is common for natural and organic ingredients to experience variations in color or separation. A change in color is due to oxidation. It does not affect the effectiveness of the product. When the product gets exposed to air and light some of the natural ingredients in it tend to darken.
Mandelic acid is gentle, safe, and effective for all skin types and complexions. Because it is less irritating, and penetrates the epidermis more evenly compared to other AHAs, it is ideal for those with darker complexions.
Sunscreen is a necessary part of any good skin care regimen, and more so when using products that contain AHAs. Wear sunscreen to protect your skin and prevent dark spots from becoming darker and more difficult to fade. Apply chemical sunscreens after cleansing and serum treatment, but before moisturizing, so that the sunscreen can be absorbed into the skin to take effect. Physical sunscreen should be applied last, after your moisturizer, because it sits on top the skin and is meant to protect by providing a barrier from UV rays.
The active ingredient in our cleanser and serum is mandelic acid, which is derived from bitter almonds. If you are allergic to almonds, then you should not use products with this active ingredient.

It may be possible to set up special shipping arrangements. Please note that international shipping orders are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Orders are processed within 3 business days. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking number included. If you have not received a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number, please ensure that your email address on file is correct and notify us of any errors or changes. Shipping within the U.S typically takes two (2) to three (3) business days via USPS. During the holiday season it gets crazy busy, so be sure to leave enough time to get your holiday orders in. Note: Orders valued at $50. or more require signature confirmation upon delivery. You may specify delivery instructions via the USPS tracking page once you receive a tracking number. We do not accept responsibility if product says delivered by the postal service but customer claims to not have product – Please request signature confirmation if you have had trouble with packages disappearing! Any lost or stolen packages will have to be taken up between customer and postal service. We will accept responsibility if we put in a wrong address from what was given to us or if the package is lost in the mail with proof from postal service.
To cancel an order you must contact us by email within 24hrs of placing the order at info@gemhuebeauty.com. Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancelation of your order as long as it has not yet shipped. When contacting us to cancel an order, please provide your name, the order/invoice number and your contact number. Please note that if the item has shipped, the order cannot be canceled.
Currently, we do not offer a money back guarantee. All sales are final, no refunds or exchanges on skin care items. Problems with orders must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Skin care consultation is offered for any skin care concerns. If an approved return is a result of our error, you may return the items unused, in new condition and shipping will be reimbursed to you. If the items are eligible for refund, you will receive a full refund including shipping. If an approved return is not a result of our error, you will be responsible for shipping fees to return the items unused and in new condition. If the items are eligible for refund, you will receive a refund minus the cost of shipping. Please notify us before returning an order and include your full name, email address and order number/proof of purchase with each approved return. Once your return has been received and inspected, you will receive an email with refund information, where applicable. Refunds are returned to your original method of payment, and in accordance with your bank or credit card company's policies and processing time schedules, including holidays.
